For many years, I built a career as a professional product photographer in the advertising industry, and also worked as a graphic designer and photography teacher. My artwork grows directly out of this past experience, part of which involved making things look glamorous for print and digital media.
I am drawn to working with manufactued objects as my primary subjects, with an affinity for retro technology. I enjoy reimagining these items as something unexpected and deserving of your attention.
Starting with reference photographs I have taken. I work digitally, progressing until a multilayered, yet clean graphic composition emerges. The process is entirely created by myself, from original idea to final art print. No AI is used.
Through the use of vivid color palettes and bold shapes, my art is vibrant, rich, and at times garish. My aim is to make art that is whimsical, lighthearted and fun in a positive way, helping to make the world Cool and Colorful.
